iI is Christmas Eve and the unmarried Lúna and Ingi are sitting at home, wishing they were somewhere else. When there is a knock on the door, neither the spirit of Christmas nor Santa Claus is there, but Heiðar Snyrtir, who has an errand for Ingi.

As anyone familiar with Tyrfingur's work knows, no one is better than him when it comes to creating characters, conversations and situations that cut to the heart, provoke laughter but are also so unbearable that they even cause physical discomfort. His characters are often at odds with society, belong to a group often called marginalized, but upon closer inspection are primarily flawed human beings – sometimes just a little worse at hiding their flaws than the rest.
